Plans Change. And There Are Many Reasons Why

There are many reasons why plans don't turn out as expected.
Right now I'm at day 5 of a 3 day project to complete the building work around my workshop. You read that right, due to poor weather a simple building project has become a rain sodden muddy mess of a project with probably 2 or 3 more days of work that will inevitably be interrupted by blustery downpours. I don't think anyone could made a better plan given the unpredictabilities of our weather this winter.
What you see in the picture (below) is my new workshop door sitting nicely in its solid oak frame. The building of the frame was planned to be an in-depth how-to video for YouTube but in the end all I've got to show for it is some scrappy footage of milling timber, glue-ups and some 'b' roll. In project managing the build and being responsible for delivering to my builder the door and door frame with all the furnishings fitted, I simply ran out of time with most of the joinery done without the camera running.
I may come back to the instructional video at a later date, but for now 'in the can' is a vlog style video documenting this important step in the workshop build. The wall comes down on Saturday so I'm hoping to have something out on soon.
I can't understate the importance of this building work to the future of the channel and my enjoyment I get from the workshop. I'm happy to accept the limitations of a small workshop but having an entrance from the garden will make that space so much more practical. I really dislike working on the drive and the new door gives me a clear area outside to work which is almost 1/2 the size of the workshop itself. Plus the new paths and patios link the new workshop with the old 'blue box' workshop.
Inside I can complete the insulation of the last two wall sections; then finish the ceiling under the loft, then reorganise the benches, and then have a space which works much better for me.
I simply can't wait.
